Atelier Gesso Primer - 250ml

Atelier Gesso Primer is a water based, flexible acrylic ground with a high grit content. Designed to provide a stable white surface on which to paint. Atelier Gesso Primers may be used directly from the container for all over thick textural effects. Atelier Gesso Primer is suitable for both acrylic and oil paintings, providing good paint adhesion and preventing loss of moisture. Atelier Gesso Primer can be used directly from the container, and if applied thickly with a brush it will give texture to your canvas for painting. Alternatively, for a more even finish you can mix the gesso with water and apply 2-3 thinner coats. The gesso will dry white, giving you a clean and bright surface to begin painting.
